Ogaki’s Spring Water
Ogaki in Gifu Prefecture is known as the “water city.” Groundwater from the Ibi River and the surrounding mountains flows under the city and gushes up at many springs and wells around town. The water is ultra-soft and pleasant to drink.
At this spring, clear water flows constantly into a stone basin, and an information board and stone monuments explain its history. Local people still come to fill bottles with water.
