Oasis 21: A “Spaceship of Water” in the Heart of the City

Oasis 21 is a complex that opened in 2002 in Sakae, downtown Nagoya. Its symbol is a huge glass roof that seems to float in midair, nicknamed the “Spaceship of Water.” Water flows across the glass roof and creates beautiful ripples. Around it runs an elevated walkway about 200 meters long, where you can enjoy a stroll in the air 14 meters above the ground.

There is a bus terminal inside Oasis 21.

The open plaza below is used as an event space and becomes a skating rink in winter.

Next, we walked over to the Nagoya TV Tower, now called Mirai Tower.

There is a bar in the tower.

A full moon rose over the city.

Oasis 21 is especially beautiful when it is lit up at night.
