★★★★☆ · Tourist attraction

The Yamazaki River is one of Japan’s famous cherry blossom spots, and many people visit every year. About 600 cherry trees bloom along a 2.5 km stretch of the river.

During the season, a 120-meter section from Kanae Bridge to Kanaekobashi Bridge is lit up at night, so you can enjoy the blossoms both day and night. It is a very popular spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing).

This may be the place with the most cherry trees in Nagoya City. (Or maybe it only feels that way because there is nothing to look at here except cherry blossoms…)

The cherry blossoms are breathtaking, and the view reminds me of the Gojo River in Aichi. You can get here by subway. Please do not park on the streets around the river.

The trees were almost in full bloom.
